One such underappreciated and much maligned character is “The Understudy.” Always accused of plotting to sabotage the lead these gifted yet forgotten souls are destined to live in the shadows with the rest of the backstage crew. However it is these very people who ensure that the show goes on, night after night, week after week. It is only when the curtains go down that these tireless creatures gather together to celebrate the end to another long hard shift.
